National standards for unified coding of components will be implemented in 2016

On September 11, 2015, the National Standardization Committee approved the release of the GB/T32007-2015 National Standard for the Uniform Coding and Identification of Auto Parts, drafted by the China Article Numbering Center and the China Association for Automatic Identification Technology. The official website of the Technical Supervision Bureau was informed that the standard will be formally implemented on January 1, 2016.The standard stipulates the general principle of coding principles, data structures, symbolic representation methods and their locations for the uniform coding of automotive parts. It is suitable for the compilation of uniform codes and logos for auto parts (accessories), and information collection and data exchange for auto parts (accessories). It provides technical means for standardizing the auto repair market, improving corporate management efficiency, reducing operating costs, and enabling the establishment of consumer parts inquiries and the traceability of parts.
